Kenya Nyeri Kangocho

$25.00

One of my closest friends, Ahmed, moved to the USA from a small town in Kenya and we’ve been chatting about Kenyan coffees and their characteristics. He’s discussed how they are light and tea-like and after roasting it, I would tend to agree. This is by far the highest rated coffee we’ve ever had at the shop with a whopping 91.7 points.

I tried it as a pour over, and when it cooled, it was the most complex coffee I’ve ever had. Citrus and fig up front, a spicy mid-palette and this delicate sugary black tea as a finish. Insane.

The background in the photo is a collection of three of Ahmed’s authentic African garb, called Dashiki and I thought it was a perfect representation of how this coffee performs in the cup.

Cheers and happy brewing.

Size: 12oz

Grind: Whole bean

“It brings me back to being in Breckenridge … skiing. I was there two years ago and we would sit by the fire place, drinking coffee, and watch it snow.”
