A brilliant and versatile Kenyan lot returns to the store using one of my friends’ authentic Dashiki as a backdrop. I believe it honors the roots of the coffee.

As a filter roast, the acidity really pulls at your tongue. And you also get this tea-like spice effect that is complex and delightful as one would expect from a highly rated Kenyan coffee. Now as espresso, I roast it a little darker, and the chocolate component rounds out the berry forwardness of the bean. The acidity remains and I think it’ll make an enjoyable espresso. I would use small amounts of milk here so as not to overpower the coffee.

Please enjoy how you like, and I cannot wait for you to experience this.

Cheers and happy brewing.

“It brings me back to being in Breckenridge … skiing. I was there two years ago and we would sit by the fire place, drinking coffee, and watch it snow.”
